Kratos at the Cliff

I was making Christmas gifts and knowing my friend loves God of War, I decided to make a scene from the game. Specifically, the scene when Kratos “jumps into the ocean”. I started by finding an STL file of Kratos on Thingiverse. I printed this model on my Elegoo resin 3d printer. I used this file from Thingiverse: LINK

I kept some of the supports on the print to use as a handle. I used acrylic paint, watering down some of it to help avoid thick layers. A brush tip Sharpie created the beard, eyebrows, and scar. I separated Kratos from the base with clippers.

I cut leftover pieces of foam into circles and glued them together. Using a hotwire, I cut a flat edge into the stack of foam and used it to add dimension. After applying a coat of Modpodge and plaster. I added medium-sized pebbles and sand for the rock texture. To paint the cliff, I based it with a dark gray then dry brushed lighter gray to an almost white. To make it a bit dirtier, I applied a brown wash and dabbed off excess with a paper towel.

To finish it, I glued the model to the cliff and painted the cap of the jar black. I glued the cliff to the cap and glued the cap to the jar, calling it done. Here is a picture of the craft at my friends home.
