I ADORE crafting with my Cricut machine! It allows me to cut vinyl, paper, cardstock, fabric, leather, thin wood, and more! At church, I have added many loving and whimsical touches. I hope it brings a smile to the faces of my church family and reminds them how much He loves us!
I share a closet with our Safety Team. I added this to one of their cabinets, as an encouragement each week when they reach for their supplies.
Here’s a before and after of the closet door from the inside. I love that each time one of us walks out the door, we are reminded of our purpose – we’re not just here today to complete a task – what we do has a lasting impact.
These cute vinyl stickers are in our AV booth. It won’t bother guests and it’s not ‘cute-sy’ in the main traffic hours. For the AV team who spends long hours at church outside-of-hours, it’s just a little touch of fun and love.
To continue the whimsy, I vinyled this clock for the AV booth as well. I thought it would help us keep time. 😉 The Drama Team also has a cabinet in our shared closet, so I labelled their space. We keep their microphones in here.
Are you singing the words? Isn’t this an appropriate hymn for the Worship and AV Team? This sign hangs in our recording studio, where we also create the livestream mix for those who listen online.
Some very gifted friends of ours built a circular welcome desk – do you know how hard that is? Crazy hard! This welcome desk is on wheels, and we can roll it out of the way when we need the space for other things. Once they were done, Chloe and I cut and applied the vinyl to the front of the desk. Which, by the way, was also challenging! Applying on curve, and keeping out bubbles, and making sure everything was STRAIGHT. We did not want to mess up our part on this beautiful piece of furniture.
When our summer VBS was Spark Studio, we used removable vinyl to create these cute stickers and apply them to the floor. It helped guide the children into the room where we learned the songs and dances. After VBS, we peeled the stickers right up, and there was no residue left at all on the floors!
My son’s high school asked for a little of the vinyl touch, so here’s just a couple of the projects we did for them. We completed this work right before school opened for the new year.
Sometimes I even vinyl just for us! Our family tradition is beach trips! I made a few cups for dear hubby and myself, and even added vinyl to our lids – because somehow those lids ALWAYS walk away.
The girls and I frequently setup a coffee bar at events to show appreciation for teachers or workers or staff or… you get the idea. I found this sign at a thrift shop, painted over it, and added the vinyl lettering on top. Now it’s a cute, repurposed, helpful addition to our coffee setups. Obviously, we love doing all the artistic things, and I’m so thankful that God gifts us so abundantly. This vinyl is on the lid of my laptop, and a reminder to me of how He loves even these details.
I hope this gives you ideas! Where can you add vinyl?
